It Takes A Village: Stories Of Inspiration From Black Women In Social Work

The social work profession is multifaceted with various
avenues of practice. From private practice, policy analyzing, to
outreach and child welfare; the possibilities are endless. These
same aspects are apparent in all professions and not unique to
the helping profession. Throughout one's career journey they
may experience various challenges and life changes that helpedto create their current state of practice. With ongoing CEU andlicensure updates, to even expansions of practice sites, theprofessional realm is ever-changing. As Black Women in socialwork and Black professionals in general, we often are facedwith even more unique hardships versus our counterparts. Thissoulful anthology consists of seven successful Black Women insocial work who have joined forces to share their personal stories of career inspiration, challenges, triumphs, and areas for growth that are adaptable in any career setting.
